Recorder Files
Recorder Files
Recorder files are produced whenever the movements of any vehicle are
recorded. They are denoted with a file extent of .rcd (older versions use .LG# - where
"LG" means "log" and "#" is a number from 1-9). The following topics discuss
recorder files in more detail.
RASTRAC creates a recorder file every time you completely execute the "Recorder...
Start Recording" command. When you open a recorder file (via the Start Recording
command), you are first prompted for a vehicle ID whose movements you want to
record.
A recording file will automatically be created or you will be prompted for one
(if you have this option selected). RASTRAC will then record data, which is specific to the vehicle you chose, to the
file. Recording of data to the file will continue until you either stop recording
for that vehicle or exit the program. A new file will be opened if the vehicle
update continues into the next day (rolls past midnight).
Note: If you choose to record to a file which already exists, it will automatically
be appended.
