How to Playback a recorded file

If you performed a typical install (which includes a set of pre-recorded vehicle tracks), then you can play back and view a pre-recorded vehicle immediately. Simply choose the "Recorder" menu option, then select "Start Playback." Next choose as many recorded files as you wish to view, and click "OK" in the dialog box. RASTRAC will open all selected playback files and automatically create vehicle tracks for each file.

RASTRAC treats an individual playback file as a unique vehicle. This means that each recorder file you open will be depicted as an independent vehicle, with its own location icon and status display. All commands which apply to a "live" vehicle will also apply to a playback vehicle.

This section’s goal is to simply show vehicles and observe RASTRAC's basic characteristics. Because playback is simply the easiest way to show a vehicle track, we use it here.

You can see a vehicle's current latitude, longitude, and other status information by pressing the F5 key and entering the vehicle ID, or by pressing the F6 key to view statuses for all open vehicles. You can also press the F4 key to see all vehicle statuses within one window.
