We at Rastrac understand that having reliable communications is vital to public safety, their emergency response functions and ability to save lives. This is why Rastrac, through its relationship with Two Way Direct, can act as your authorized FirstNet Dealer. Rastrac can now sign up eligible public safety customers for FirstNet service to aid in their incident management efforts.
AT&T has engaged a group of dealers and solution providers with deep knowledge of public safety. This FirstNet Dealer Program will help get FirstNet’s game-changing technology into the hands of first responders throughout the U.S. Rastrac was selected for its focus on fleet and asset management solutions for public safety agencies.
Due to communications challenges during the response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the 9/11 Commission recommended the establishment of a single, interoperable network for public safety. With Congress establishing the First Responder Network Authority in 2012 and AT&T being awarded the contract to provide the capabilities for FirstNet to be built in 2017, FirstNet is fulfilling the concerns and desires of public safety, and is tailored specifically to meet their needs as they save lives and protect communities across the nation.
